Feed Section - Fall Corn Survey

The Office of Indiana State Chemist is sharing these 2023 Fall Survey results as part of our commitment to ensure that all animal feeds produced in the state are of the highest quality.

We have also included the crude protein results - specifying ranges between 6.0% and 8.5% by county. The report shows the range of detection levels of aflatoxin, zearalenone, fumonisin and vomitoxin found in corn during these harvest seasons.

If the survey results show elevated levels of these mycotoxins in your area, we recommend additional testing of corn utilized in your feed operation to avoid any potential injury to your livestock production customers, as mycotoxins can pose a serious threat to the health or even death of livestock. These maps will continue to be updated throughout the fall - we recommend checking back for updated information:

Please note: The samples reported here only represent an individual load of corn. They do not represent anything more than an individual load. Data points should not be construed to represent other corn harvested in the area.
