How to become an RT - Registered Technician

Any person who is not a certified and licensed applicator but is using pesticides under the off-site supervision of a certified applicator is required to be a registered technician (RT). An RT may be employed and supervised by for hire applicators, not for hire applicators, or public applicators (government employees).

RT's are eligible to work in any category (i.e. 1, 2, 3a, 3b ...) under the direct supervision of a properly certified and licensed applicator with that company/agency.
